I have a Yamaha Stage Custom fusion kit with a 16" suspended floor tom added. The ball and socket mounts they have are junk. I was playing a show and in the middle of our first song my 14" stripped out and my tom dropped, I thought it was o.k. because i still had my 16", sure enough, two songs later that stripped out too. after that i purchased a Pearl Export ELX with a 24" bass drum but liked the sound of my Yamaha's better, so I took the I.S.S mounts off my Pearl and put them on my yamaha's. By the way, when I build my next kit I think I'm going to use Pearl's Optimounts, I have heard nothing but good things about them, plus Pearl makes really relliable hardware that can take a beating(at least in my oppinion). Thanks for hearing my story.
