I love my Gibraltar rack. Lots more stable, and weighs less than 6 or 8 double braced tripods. Actually costs less, too. Takes about the same amount of time to setup and tear down, with all the cymbal and tom arms, but everything goes together the same way every time if you use memory locks. It isn't cost effective if you play a small kit, though.
