Has anybody ever heard of a pilot hole! YOU DO THIS WITH A SMALL BIT! After That you graduate to larger bits, Da! Acrylic is a Hell of a lot easier to drill than thin plywood! If you are parinoid use a variable speed drill on low speed in reverse. But regular bits (high speed bits) started with a small pilot hole (slow speed), and gradually go up your disired hole size. No Problem!
