draw a circle the diameter of your drum. divide it into three equal parts which will be 130 degrees. where ever the points end up on the cicle will be where the floor tom brackets need to end up.
next make a mark on the drum. you can use two inch masking tape on the shell instead of marking dirrectly on the drum. then use a square and draw a straight line. measure how far up the drum the brackets need to go and plot out the holes. repeat this step on each bracket. drill the holes using the correct size bit. don't make them too large. mount the brackets and install the legs. you're done
