A war metal found in a field in Bridgend county has been returned to its rightful owners almost a century after it was awarded. The metal was found by a metal detecting enthusiasts team in a farmerís field in Porthcawl. When they dug up the metal, it was badly damaged, but Pte Boadenís name and regimental number were still visible. The process to find the metal is also a coincidence. The metal was found by a member of the team when he sat down on a fallen tree to take a break. Then the metal detector found it. It is the first metal that he found. He was very excited. The owner of the metal is Pte Boaden. He signed up on the outbreak of the First World War. His grandson was very surprised to hear the news. But the reason why the metal was buried there was still unknown.
