Well I finally got a metal detector one I could afford at the moment. I kind of lucked into it. A person I came across got one for a gift from his girlfriend tried it for 5 minutes hated it and put it back in the box and hasn't used it since. It's a Garrett 350 Euro Ace. Got it for $ 250. From my research you should be able to use this in water? Anyways I tried it out and got overwelmed by the number of beeps coming from this thing. I put a quarter down on the ground to test it. It kinda picked it up I think? 
Anyways I could use some help figuring out this thing with the booklet and my hearing as there seems to be 4 different sounds and tones? Any help in the area would be greatly appreciated.
On a sidenote the guys girlfriend and him broke up 3 weeks later and he got laid off. Some kind of connection?
