No - I agree with you totally. I hate finding others people's carnage (as you so aptly describe it). There is a code of ethics for metal detectors, but it can be laid down in 3 easy points, really. A - don't detect where you don't have permission. B - leave no trace you were there c - take the garbage you find & dispose of it. Its not that hard!
