There is a lot of trash (bottle caps, tin foil, pull tabs, etc). There is a lot of tent-pegs, lost dinnerware and other stuff, too. Whenever I go camping, I always ask for permission to detect.
If you remember that you will find 90% trash, but the 10% of treasure is worth it - and you're cleaning the environment. Have fun!
