Any of the ones I posted above should work well for you... The Vibraphone seems to be one of the 'main choices' for Hearing Impaired persons, but 'loud' or 'Modified' earphones seem to be gaining a lot of attention. I would also think that the 'bright LED' thing would work pretty good as well and of course it is also completely silent (like the vibraphone).

I'd have no problem meeting you in Red Deer or Someplace to show you the detector (I have the ATPRO) once this snow melts. Also, I have a VERY good source for ATPRO units at 'exceptional prices'.
