Hi Jim,
I am happy that there are like-minded people who like meteorites.
I am very interested in going to the Whitecourt meteorite site. I don't know if you can help me with a few questions.
1)My main question is how one would organize such a trip? (BTW I live in Ontario). Who can I contact to organize all that I need to go to the site?
2)Where can I stay in Whitecourt and where best to rent a pick-up truck and an ATV?
3)Is there any risk from bears, wolves, cougars?
4) Are there any identifiers to the 200 meter by 200 meter protected zone?
5)Are the locals friendly and would not be upset at someone coming and doing some hunting outside the protected area?
6) Are the meteorites in enough quantity to find at least a small fragment?
Finally, would you consider me coming on a trip with you?
