Good unit, good price, more machine than some of the other so-called beginner detectors.
Go ahead get one with confidence, I do believe you will like it.
One thing, the screen does scratch quite easy, if you get mud on it, don't wipe it off with a dry thumb. It will also cross talk with another Tek model of same freq. for considderable distance, about 50 feet. That's no big deal or the detectors fault
