Silver Coins could they be worth more than face Value? opions?

Im sooo new to this coin collecting,but these coins have not been cleaned.They look like they are in good,acording to the book they are worth alot more than face value.Any opions?Do these coins have to be in alot better shape to fetch the lowest grade in the book?They do not look like they have been handled much?
