From the land of the Bluenose.....as one gets older they think about the footprint that they will leave behind! Well that was the first thought through this bouy's head as he awoke to the ringing of the phone at 1112 hours after getting off at 0600 hours. Actually it was about the third thought....right behind a trip to the bathroom and man I would like to reach up the phone line and strangle the person who woke me from my beauty sleep which I never seem get enough of.
Well I did leave my footprint on this day......across the hallway and dining room as I put my muddy Kermit boots on to go a digging. Going back to sleep was out of the question and the day was nice and crisp and cold enough to freeze an albacore tuna still in the water.
Thought I would go after another Spanish at the stagecoach stop as I could feel it in my bones that there was a third one there lurking below the frozen tundra..
As was per normal the wind was whipping from the south and I lowered the flaps on my furbie, zipped up the jacket and tucked my pant legs into my boots to ward off the chill.
Wasn't long before the old bell tone started to ring on my Garrett Freedom 3 and I hammered my knife into the ground
Jackhammered out 5 toasties, a buckle and this "dewy" which had a faint legend that stated, "use monkey wrench."
After pounding away for the few pieces that I found my arms felt like I had been rowing a dory all day and hauling lobster traps and this was the best part of my day as I had to drive back home and do some shopping for the family gathering at my place as Marie was turning 45. Pointed Otto to the highway and was greeted by a bouy driving a 750cc Night hawk down the road with his clothing expanded and blowing in the wind! Michelin Tire bouy I suspect till I saw that it was one of those "want to be Canucks" with an Alberta plate on the back. Well riding in this cold the bouy will be a Bluenoser in no time me son.
First stop on the way home was at Tim's ...and son of a seahorse still no luck on "roll up the rim to win." Superstore for this.
Then shortly after a house full of this!
Take for the day wasa a buckle, 5 toasties and a "use monkey wrench" dewy.
Noticed that when I got home that I still had this in my pocket! Well me son waste not want not and good pet rocks are getting harder to find every day!
