Well since I've only detected one gold ring so far in my ninth year of detecting, I don't have your problem. But I have found a lot of silver coins which I have sold a bunch in the past. I won't sell the little nickles anymore aka fishscales, cause I like them too much, and they are not easy to come by. If I sell some of my finds again it will be for a gold coin. There are a few coins that I have sold that I probably will regret for a long time. My advise would be to anyone selling they're finds is make sure to only sell the finds that are not special to you or sell your finds for something that is special to you. Thats just my two cents worth, but the right two cents can be worth a lot too.
