Re: Shipping boxes via US Postal service Priority Mail

Post office shipping is expensive! If you've got more than a suitcase worth of stuff to ship, say trunk size or larger, then you'll want to contact a shipping company. They'll aggregate your gear with other folks and the total costs will be much, much lower, though it will take several weeks/months. |
I have a lot about this in the full site, but you should google or yellow page a shipping company and check out their web site. Most moving companies have deals with shippers and you can usually work through a local dealer if you're in the middle of a land-locked area.
: Hi everyone,
: I am moving to Ireland in May and am
: confused as to how I make sure I am not
: charged VAT on my household goods. I read
: the shipping and customs paperwork sections
: on the website and don't see where you are
: supposed to put the Form 1076 - does it go
: behind the shipping label or does it go in
: the box? I am not understanding also why
: some were saying it was more expensive in
: the long run to ship via the US postal
: service. Can someone please help me to
: figure this out. I may have to change my
: shipping option if this is the case. Thanks
