Just arrived in Westport last week and have come to the realization that I'll need to purchase a car. Can I get it insured on my current US license, or is it necessary to wait until I have my Irish License? Also, in regards to the Learner Permit, it's not feasible for me to drive with someone each time I go somewhere. Would I be tempting fate a bit too much to go ahead and drive anyway?
