As Jeffery said, the paperwork will take a few weeks to clear, but you won't have any problems getting it.
There are loads of rentals available. Ireland overbuilt during the boom and now all those places that can't find buyers are available for rent.
Check out www.daft.ie and www.myhome.ie for a look. They're the two biggest rental/house sites.
Do Not Buy! The property market is spiralling down, and it definitely will continue to do so while the economy is in a decline.
