Bedbugs have not yet been mentioned anywhere that I've read or heard or seen except in relation to the big infestation that New York had a few months ago. Nothing in the Irish news.
No, the mattresses do NOT get replaced. Maybe every few years, though you can take it up with the landlord. There are plastic mattress sealers that help protect you, though they do sleep hotter.
