O2 had an exclusive contract with Apple to supply the iPhone in Ireland. That contract is now up and Vodafone now also offers them.
In my hilly parish, O2 reception is just about nil, so that's good news for hill-techies.

: Meteor, Vodafone, O2 and 3 are the big mobile
: phone companies in Galway. You'll see their
: offices all on Shop Street. Not sure which
: one supports iPhone (I think vodafone, but
: i'm not sure). I had Meteor, and I know for
: a fact that they do not support iPhone.
