We are planning to move to Ireland from the U.S. in about 9 months. We have a son who is in 7th grade, he just turned 12, Sept 30th. I see in the most Irish web sites that children start secondary school at 13. Is there a particular cut off date for when they turn 13 (e.g. on or before Sept 1st)? Did anyone have a young teen move to Ireland? How well did they adjust? We will be moving to a small village in Clare.
