My wife turned in her completed application for the Foreign Births Register in February, so it's been a seven month wait so far. The consulate worker in Chicago said it could take at least a year because they are processing a backlog of application from Texas.
I've heard of people receiving their Certificate of Entry (birth register certificate) within eight months. I've also seen that it could take longer, like maybe a year & a half.
