I've read the page on importing cars; question is, if you follow the timing as to ownership, can you actually drive and register a left side driving (US) car in Ireland, or can you only drive right side cars? Would it be much harder to drive it and pass the driving test? Otherwise, how can you import a car as no one really wants to change the wheel location? I ask as new cars seem much more expensive in IRE then buying here, keeping 6 months and paying to move it.
