Thanks for the speedy reply! I presume they will at least ask me to fork over a hefty fee before they issue citizenship papers, but apart from that, is it really that simple? I thought I had read somewhere that they will want originals of documents that I was only initially required to provide copies of, but I'm not sure which ones or if I am simply mistaken on this point. Can you shed any light here?

: All relevant documents should have been filed
: with the citizenship application so there
: should be no requests for further documents
: if you provided everything asked for in the
: first go.
:
: After you get the paper informing you that
: you are a citizen you'll want to apply for
: an Irish passport. That's a much more
: standard application and should take only a
: few months to process.

: The Dept. of Foreign Affairs pages dealing

: Just wondering if anyone knows what happens
: next? I applied for citizenship last year
: based on my marriage to an Irish citizen and
: my application was acknowledged by letter
: telling me about the long wait ahead, but
: what happens once I finally get a response?
: Will I need to provide more documents? Is
: there an interview? I don't know what to
: expect so any information out there would be
: appreciated. Thanks!
