Hey guys, I'm moving from LA to Ireland and have a few boxes (about 5, containing books, picture frames, clothes) weighing about 80lbs each that I'm shipping home. I'm going traveling for a few weeks between leaving LA and arriving in Ireland so won't be there when the boxes arrive. I've gotten a number of quotes from various companies in LA who will ship door to door, but am wondering about customs - do I have to 'clear' customs by doing something from here, or does someone at home have to 'meet' the boxes when they arrive etc?
