Thanks Terri. Another good idea. Natch I turned to the Waterford group section to get an idea and it had lots of useful ideas and helpful suggestions from people.
Personally, we give things that are still usable to one of the charity shops in town. Family clothes get recycled - all the daughters in my wife's family are basically the same size and the holes in my jeans have to be located in strategically embarrassing spots before I stop using them. My wife is a hoarder and we provide lodging for any old broken down books that cross our paths. They may look pathetic, but we try to remember they once had authors just like you and me.

: I was re-reading several areas of your
: website today, looking up changes in Green
: Card requirements, etc. Anyway, I hit upon
: your "second hand" section, which
: made me think about the "Freecycle
: Cork" group I'm part of.
:
: is the website for people to get involved in
: if they are looking for secondhand items-or
: looking to offload items they no longer
: need. Through this group I was able to
: offload some pots and pans, and I was able
: to get two bags of clothes - all of it at no
: charge. It's a very amicable service, and
: one I thought might be worth mentioning.
:
: Keep up the great work - I know you were
: helpful to our family when we moved almost
: two years ago. Thanks for that. Your
: website is really informative.
