: Ireland has been remarkably accepting of the
: huge influx over the past decade. Whether
: that attitude will hold up in harder times
: remains to be seen.
:
: Only about a third of foreign workers are
: even re-applying for existing work permits
: as the jobs melt like snow in the tropics.
:
: But, hey, you're from the UK, which hardly
: counts as foreign. Better yet from the Erin
: go Bragh Irish point of view, you're not
: English.
:
: It's the not the newcomers amongst us who
: are swallowing the jobs, but global
: recession hitting an economy that everyone
: knew was in bubble mode. At least so far, no
: one's blaming the Polish plumber for their
: troubles.
:
: Actually, it's the Poles who are living in
: Poland that are causing problems. Dell
: announced today that it is moving production
: to Poland because workers there earn 7 euro
: per hour less.

: Ok, i have read all through the message
: board
: and there is alot of individuals wanting to
: immigrate to Ireland. What i want to know
: is, what do the Irish think of all the
: imigrants moving in?. Im from Scotland and
: there is a very lot moving/moved here, hence
: the fact there is hardly any job vacancies
: here. I want to know what they think before
: i move in lol.
