My daughter moved here when she was 15. It was a good time for her because she would have been starting 9th grade in a new school with more students even if she had stayed in the states. In that respect, it was equal.
If your daughter is excited about the idea..that is a big battle won. If she is the kind of kid that likes change,new cultures, people and experiences...I am sure she would do well anywhere. A little bit of 'thick skin' does not hurt either
We really only had the challange of what grade to put her in here. I went to 3 schools within 45 min of where we live and all were going to start her in different classes(1st, 2nd and transition). She ended up going in to 2nd year in the local community college and she is a year older then most of the kids in her class, but she has made friends with kids in all the class years.
