Dear Scott, thanks for the website and i wonder if you could please help me.
my current irish residency is based on holding stamp number 1 which has to be renewed annually. In turn the stamp 1 is associated with a work permit and my current stamp 1 will expire in October 2009. The questions I have here are:
1)For each year how long do i have to be present in Ireland in order not to lose my stamp 1 i.e. my residency status?
2)Can I have another residency in a third country (other than my homeland) while keeping my stamp 1? If the answer is yes, what are the conditions? (for instance If my employer decides to send me overseas but continue to pay me from/in Dublin would that be sufficient for me to keep my stamp 1 even if I live most of the year outside Ireland?).
any feeback and thoughts are much appreciated.
