Hi there,
I was wondering if you could help me. My husband and I are currently in Ireland on Working Holiday Authorisation Visas which are not due to expire until May 2009. However, my husbands work would like to take him on permanently and have offered him the opportunity of taking up either a Work Permit or a Green Card (whichever he prefers). My question is; is he able to switch from his current working holiday visa to a new visa before it expiries? We have received a lot of deferring advice about this; some saying that you can not get a new visa until your old one expires, with others stating you can have your working holiday visa cancelled and a new visa issued.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
