I can only speak for the Galway/Midlands region but it usually dries off in September and October, but otherwise all bets are off as to how much rain one can experience in a given year. Right now theres wide spread flooding any many locations as apparently the sky has opened up and dropped a small ocean on Ireland.
A interesting question that I havent had a proper answer for yet is, since Ireland has experienced a deluge of rain for countless centuries, why do the Irish continue to build on a flood plain and why hasnt the whole of the island been trenched and guttered and run off ditched to the max over the centuries to the point where no matter how much water you dump on it, it simply all flows right back in the ocean?
