I live in Seattle.
The sun does not seem to show itself for 10 months out of the year. Yes, a bit of an exageration.
Honestly, my view of Seattle is that, from October till June, the sun comes out every 10 days (very briefly) and the goes away the next day and we have another 10 days of dark and grey and mist. It is very beautiful country, of course.
I have lived here for 11 years and, for me, it has been fairly consistent.
I lived in TX, for 10 yrs previously, so the sun & the warmth is not what I am searching for for 12 months out of the year (although that is not terrible
) or i wouldn't have left TX.
What I did do this winter is take a look at web cams in Galway and Dublin and noticed that even though there were clouds and rain there was also sun mixed in as opposed to the Great Northwest.
So I have kept up my cam research on the same pages and noticed that, at least Galway, has had a pretty wet summer.
Not just wet, but grey and wet all day. Unlike the winter.
When I was there last year my aunt said the the summer past had not been much of a summer. So it sounded like it was unusual and hopefully that is like this summer.
So my question is: Is this summer unusual from all your perspectives? Or is summer more wet than the rest of the year, on average?
