Posted by Mike 7 on November 28, 2001, 3:54 am One of the Batgirls was actually a soap star, who I understand was once on a soap with "Tell the Truth" host John O'Hurley, most notably of recent Seinfeld fame. She actually went unrecognized until she took of her mask. But most of the panel and the studio audience, 70%, guessed correctly that Yvonne was Batgirl. The three participants were each in a mask and costume that differed in color and tone from Yvonne's original 1960's costume, though Yvonne was easily identifiable to anyone familiar with the show. She was promoting her new book, and it seemed a pretty creative way to do it. This "To Tell the Truth" show was fun for anyone who was a kid during the Batman series heyday, and the unmasking of 3 Batgirls was a delight for any unmasking fan.
I don't know if anyone here saw this, but Yvonne Craig and two other "Batgirls" unmasked themselves on a recent "To Tell the Truth" show. While masked, the three answered questions about the Batman series and Yvonne's ballet background from a surprisingly knowledgeabe panel. At the end of charade after votes were cast, they all removed their masks, but the camera actually missed the moment Yvonne unmasked, and showed her in the next instant sans mask.
