Batgirl outfit, Takes up over half a page. Good stuff. But before
that is a cute sequence in which she dons her costume (designed for a
masquerade ball) for the first ever time. We see Babs in her trademark
skintight black catsuit vanish into a closet converted into a dressing
room, and emerge as the sexy Batgirl. "The whole world thinks I'm
just a plain Jane...", she says.
issue 359. This one is smaller and more crampt, however, but still
beautifully drawn. Unlike the original, the captions are narrated by
Barbara herself. "I bring down the rolled brim of my beret... Roll up
my boot flaps..." and so on.
panel, and then comes springing out as Batgirl in the next. No actual
mid-point shown, but what's there is drawn so dynamically that the
absence of a mid shot hardly spoils things. Moments later Batgirl's
mask is almost ripped from her face by a spinning bicycle pedal. Later
in the story, Babs attends an outdoor fancy dress party as Queen
Victoria (in yellow, not black) and swings up into a tree to transform.
"I've been so anxious for another chance I wore my Batgirl costume
underneath" she thinks. No mid-shot sadly.

Batgirl much switch quickly to Barbara and sprint back to her seat
before her boyfriend arrives and notices she is gone. No actual
transformation shown.
