I have John Milton Garrison dying about 1860. I'm not sure how I arrived at that date, but he and wife Sarah, sold land in Allen County to sons William and Charles (for love and affection) as late as 1856 and he was dead by 1860 since he did not appear in the census with his wife. Calvin Alexander was in the 1860 census, but not the 1870 with his wife Emily (Stamps), so he died sometime between 1860 and 1870. I have an interest in this family since John Milton was married to my 4 gr grandfather Charles Stamps's sister, Sarah Stamps in 1848 in Allen Co. (After divorcing his wife Martha in 1848 Acts of Gen. Assembly of KY) Also, Samuel Garrison's son Hezekiah Garrison married my 3 gr grandfather Thomas Hillary Lyles' sister, Rebecca.
I have determined that John Milton and Martha "Patsy" Cannon had at least 5 children: Mary, Calvin and Abraham but I can't figure out the other two. John Milton and Sarah Stamps had 7 children together: Luther, Robert, John, Charles, William, George and Sidney (This from the Acts of the General Assembly of KY Dec. session, 1837 in which they were made legitimate children and names changed from Stamps to Garrison)
