An old Bowling Green newspaper ran a story about someone identified only as the "widow Blankenship" who lived near the Warren County line close to Anthony's mill and who lost three children in one day in September or October 1867: two little boys were bitten by a rattlesnake and as she grieved over them she didn't notice her baby girl fall into the washtub. Who was this tragic widow?
