Hi Shirley my gggrandfather John Moore Smith and his wife Mary E.(Conyers)Smith had a daughter Mary E. Smith. She was married to a William David Keen. I don't know where they were married but it has been suggested by another researcher that it might have been Arkansas.I have not been able to prove this. I do have an obitury of W.D. and Mary E.Keen.They died in Lewisville (Denton Co.) Texas, and are buried in the Ritter Cemetery. William D. was first married to Martha J.Smith the sister of Mary E. After Martha passed away he married Mary. Martha J. (Smith)Keen is also buried in the Ritter Cemetery. In the Rough Creek Baptist Cemetery in Allen Co.Ky there is a Samantha Keen that I believe is married to a Asberry (Asbury) Keen. Samantha was a Smith if I have my information correct. I hope this helps you. I have been looking for information on the Smith side of my family for some time I know they lived in the Allen Co.(Scottsville Ky) area but Larken(Larkin) H. Smith my ggrandfather left the area in 1907 and went to Texss. He was age 50 at the time. He took with him his wife and two daughters and possibly sons. It has been a mystery to my cousin and I why they left the area. We believe there might have been some trouble with the families. Larkin's daughter Donie was married to Rosco Purdue (Perdue) and Donie was left with the home place. If you should come across any information on these families please let me know and if I come across any more on the Keen family I will do the same. Happy Hunting. Grannyangel41@insightbb.com
