Akoustik Anarkhy returns to their spiritual home, the Piccadilly Gardens Hotel on Saturday 29th September with a night of avant garde pop fun in the shape of aA heroes 'Islands Lost at Sea',fresh from the success of their debut 7 on aA records, will be showing off their trademark experimental but highly melodic 3 piece excursions in to sound, it's still impossible to tell whats in their record collections at home in Bolton. Next up is 'Pagan Wanderer Lu', upping the bpm's and fun aspect with his one man explosion of Momus like pop featuring his own peculiar brand of Nintendo-folk or Casio-coustic as it's been called, shiny, funny & unique and he's coming all the way from Cardiff just for the night, but he's not Welsh, he's from Bolton. The main act needs no introduction, an old favorite at aA, splendid gadgeteer Mr 'Thomas Truax', freshly scrubbed after relocating from his native New York city to the UK earlier this year, his collection of legendary home made instruments look as though they were stolen from the set of a Tim Burton movie and are combined with various loop pedals, guitars and lashings of imagination to create one of the most unusual and entertaining live shows you will ever see, radical cabaret anyone?
