It's a very smiley day today.
I found a groovy song from the 60s, you should all listen to it... it's called "Sunshine Superman" by Donovan. Imani Coppola sampled it for Legend Of a Cowgirl. The 60s was hella groovy. Janis Joplin goes off. We all need some hippie blues sometime. I saw Donnie Darko last week. Very good movie. Everybody watch it. I don't think the war with Iraq is totally over. Americans are dumb. That stupid little girl ground Shakaya covered a Michael Jackson song. That should be illegal. Nobody ####s with MJ's music. It's just wrong. Does anyone on here like any music besides metally agaugeforey rockey stuff? It's good to have some variety.... some thinking music... and some fun music.... blues is the ####ing best ever music when you're stoned. Am i the only person on the earth who doesnt like The Beatles??? I mean, they were good for their day, but they just dont appeal to me somehow. I really like the I Am Sam soundtrack so I backtracked and downloaded all the original Beatles versions of the songs, and they STILL dont appeal to me. I don't know what it is. I love the ben harper and eddie vedder covers and stuff, but the originals just annoy me. I doubt Agaugefor would cover The Beatles, but you never know. Music is great. Covers are great too, if they're done well. People are usually against covers but I think it's good to hear the song from another artist's perspective, and relate it back to the original. I don't mean pop covers or remixes, they're all shite, but the good stuff. Like Beatles covers... Fiona Apple does a kickass "Across The Universe". If I'm ever to release an album, I plan to cover Van Morisson's "Moondance". You can do so much with that song musically. It would be fun to add some jazzy piano solo's, extend the instrumentals... make it like 10 minutes long. That's my plan.
Anywho, I'm off to my aunty's 50th birthday. Should be fun. I love old people... especially my aunty... I'm predicting another janis joplin jam session tonight. I've gotta get a job and save up for a decent piano.
