Posted by Aggrieved Afmcite on July 12, 2004, 11:13:10 To be frank there is a faint shudder, a queasy feeling whenever I approach the Dean’s office for any paperwork .Of course, I am not the oddman out here. The occurrence of this uneasy autonomic discharge has been verified repeatedly during conversations with my batch mates, juniors and seniors. First of all, I am at peace with myself that my observation is reliable and precise. To hell with the civilian employee coterie. ……They never would like to do any productive work (especially concerning with the paperwork of ex afmcites)…The moment you enter the Dean’s office you can feel the uneasy atmosphere. Their body language tells it all…They give all reasons under the sky ….We are busy with the 3 , 6 , 8 , 9 term results……… .I perfectly understand that the paperwork of an ex afmcite can never get the priority that a current afmcite gets. It is perfectly justifiable. …But the attitude, no body can take it lying down .It ‘s a perfect passive – aggressive defense mechanism. I have been trying very hard for a piece of an official document called “The Dean’s Evaluation” .I have undergone many a emotional upheaval in my life for that elusive piece of letter. I applied for that letter two times while I was in India ……(of course I paid the challan amount for Rupees 50 every time ) …..Damn it I am a loser because I could not achieve it .The third time I start it afresh. But the attitude of the civilian employees once again put me off.Of course , I did not have the temerity to point out that I have already paid the amount …..I straight away took a new challan .The attitude of one female in the office especially put me off. The moment she senses that you are a ex afmcites trying to get some paperwork done she reels out all the reasons , sits there idling her neurons in the empty space ………but not trying to help you out .Of course , the final deciding authority , The Training Officer’s verdict is highly dependent on the civilian employee’s transference of his/her thoughts . I do not know why is there such a visceral hatred about our paperwork. To be very honest things are not difficult in a posting in the border, in a different country. But to be very honest. Things are too hot to handle right in our back yard..Yes I am true (It’s the Dean’s Office). This is not a isolated experience for me. I have undergone it many a time (During my internship paperwork, My recommendation letters’, internship completion paperwork)….

To every AFMCITE,
I don't like to be likened to a habitual whiner, a habitual complainer about things but I would like to present a correct description about the day-to-day administrative functioning especially concerned with ex afmcites.
Please excuse me for my lack of guts for not writing out my name .Previously I used to write by my name , but some congenitally hypothyroid individuals used to post all sorts of bull shit under my name Â…Â….
