Oh Sue,
We have been horribly traumatized. Nothing makes sense to us anymore. The betrayal by our "best friend" is so horrible that we have developed PTSD. We all suffer from that same syndrome. We are afraid, we dont trust our whole world has been turned upside down.
No wonder we obsess over the details. Asking the questions somehow makes us feel safer.
I don't know how long it has been for you, but if it is less than 2 years, your husband still owes you the answers to your questions, even if you have aksed them over and over again. The past does matter - even if he "loves" you. You thought he loved you before and look what he has done. How can you feel safe now? If he will leave you for continuing to ask questions, he must not love you very much!!!! His threatening to leave for asking questions can't make you feel very secure. Your therapist is nuts and your husband is cruel. You should be able to ask questing as long as you need to. YOU WERE THE ONE WHO WAS DAMAGED BY HIS BETRAYAL. The ball is in his court now to restore your trust. The least that he can do is make you feel secure by answering.
