Hi Allen,
At 5 months after d-day, I was a basket case. It took about 2-3 years before I could breathe normally.
The person who said that things will never be the same was right. However, that is not all bad. After an affair and marital therapy, you will never again take each other for granted, you will never again trust blindly, and you will probably put more effort into your marriage. Those are all good things. The bad things that remain are the memories, and the changed image of your spouse.
