Looking back ... it has been quite a journey. After the moment of discovery ... knowing my spouse was in a relationship with another person, that had gone undected for so many years.
Trust gone ... Life in an upheaval ... like a wild rollercoaster ride , that no one ever wanted to take.
Reading all the books ... trying to understand. Listening to the spouse ... explaining it was my fault.
The single counseling ... the couples counseling. Spouse finally saying they made a very bad mistake.
Now still just a memory in the past ... wondering why they strayed. Was it worth it? Was the excitement and pleasure that good ... even though it drastically effected two families. Was it worth the pain it caused so many?
Now looking at a grand child ... explaining "Hugs make you happy". So precious.
Yes even after all that ... life still has meaning. It is just different now.
