I'm very, very sorry about your wife. And no, I don't expect you to feel sorry for me. What I've done is inexcusable, and I hate myself more than I could ever hate anyone else.
I don't know what was going through your wife's mind when she strayed. I honestly doubt, however, that she's living completely unscathed by her actions.
I convinced myself that I could handle the attention I was getting without crossing any lines. Every line I crossed, I convinced myself that this was it. And every line I crossed, I hated myself a little more.
I know it's small consolation when you've lost someone so important to you, but to my thinking, it's impossible to do something like this and be happy and free in your mind.
