Oh Katie,
I am so sorry. Your pain is se severe right now. Betrayal by our "best friend" is one of the worst emotional experiences. Now is the time to seek professional assistance. There is a website called www.dearpeggy.com which lists professional therapists who deal with infidelity. Perhaps there is soemone on her list in your area.
Read some of the books that are written by experts in this field. I can think of some - "After the Affair" by Janis Abrahams Spring, Ph.D., "Not Just Friends" by Shirley Glass, MSW The books will help. You are going through a horroble period in your life, but whatever happens now, you will survive. We have. Just be good to yourself now and get some professional therapy.
