Hi all,
I still see some familiar names here. I have pretty much stayed away because as much as I try it brought back awful memories. I am so glad some of you are still here though helping others out.
For those that don't know me my H had a 10 month affair that I found out about on July 4, 2000. Who would have thought I'd be back. We've actually been doing really well. My daughter is in her 3rd year of college and my "baby" boy just started his first year of college.
Tonight I found a telephone number and called it and the voice sounds like the same woman from 7 years (wow didn't even realize it had been this long until I actually typed the date). Anyway turns out it is another woman who he has been talking with and I confronted him; he admitted he's been talking with a woman and says it is not the same one and it is totally innocent. I cannot believe after everything we went through that he could say it is "totally innocent".
To make a long story short -- I vowed 7 years ago I would never go through this again -- never. Because it is late I told him he could stay tonight but I want him out and I will be contacting a lawyer. Again trying to explain how innocent this whole thing is but I do not even want to discuss it. I'm done. I haven't even cried -- and not even sure why I haven't.
Before he went to bed -- he says to me "I need a favor". I said, "It depends". He then says don't tell our son. WTF? My daughter I am sure overheard the whole thing tonight; my son dorms in college so is not home and doesn't know. I told him I won't even have to tell him; his sister will plus the fact that he's not going to be "home" anymore and just what did he think? He says well what are you going to tell him, if you do. I said that I would tell him you betrayed me once again and that I'm done.
For those of you who recall -- my son and my husband are extremely close but my son got mad as hell 7 years ago at the age of 10. I have no idea what his reaction will be this time around as it took him a while to warm up to his father afer the last time he hurt me and it was me who told him what happened between us had nothing to do with their relationship. Now he's 18 -- he will make his own decision as to what he will do now. I do not wish for their relationship to be soured AT ALL. They really do have a great relationship and my husband has always been a GREAT father. I'm starting to ramble.....
Hope everyone else is doing well.
