Major blow-out this morning, loud enough to get my 16 year old out of bed before 7 am! We both belong to an internet message forum, innocent enough as it's about music. He's been on it a lot longer than me and has made several new friends that he shares music with, all male. The discussions are joking and fun and sometimes a little flirty but nothing too much to comment on. He always shows me what is being said, and he's posted lots of times about us and how much he loves me and how he did something really stupid and nearly lost his family. So last night he shows me a thread where he's been chatting to a female member. It's quite flirty and I got really upset by this. He gets mad because it's just a bit of harmless fun, except I can't see the funny side at all. I feel like such a kill-joy. Am I being overly sensitive? He's always been a flirty kind of guy, but given our past history I'm afraid I feel like any flirting with other women or female friends is simply out of the question, and if can't see why this has upset me so much, what chance have we got of keeping it together.
