It sounds like you are on the right track and he is seeing that he is not the one calling the shots. Doing projects together around the house can be a good bonding experience so maybe there are some things you and he could work on together. Do not hide your feelings from him though. You will have pain and anger from this for a long time,most say at least 2 years before the BS is on the real road to recovery, and he does need to see how hurt you are if he is too learn anything.
