Heather, This is definitely abuse. He is breaking down your spirit by degrading you and confusing you with manipulations. When he told you that you would be better off without him, he meant it. And, it is so very true. You might not see this now, but give yourself time, cut ties from him and you will start to understand that you aren't all the things he tried to make you believe you are. He only feels better about himself when you cuts you down. I feel for you. I hope that you won't go back to him. Take care, Alli
