It's sad probably because the thought of having your own place makes it a little more final. Your grieving the loss of the relationship, you gave this man 10 years of your life of course you are going to cry sometimes, feel the emotions and don't try to pretend that everything is fine if it's not. I'm sure that you will be going through different stages of emotions and it's ok to feel sad or a little angry and it is ok to feel happy and relieved. That is just part of the healing process.
