I could forsee that very quickly, within a few months that I would have to leave my husband. So, I at the time I was taking care of the bills and had saved enough money and secretly rented an apartment in another city. My children and I had a place to go to directly when we left this time instead of a shelter. I too was feeling very sad and it took me a few weeks to unpack the canned goods and basic household supplies that I had prebought and left in the apartment. Reality finally hit me that we had left, and I finally put away towels, etc. I had secretly moved out and or bought. Kids and I started getting into routines and I put the kids into lots of activities - free ones - YMCA, ice skating, etc, that was free to low income families. Your feelings are normal.
